Spotify keeps automatically switching downloads to internal storage

My Question or Issue

Spotify keeps switching my storage from external to internal and now can't seem to be able to switch storage back ... stupid ... Spotify stop flipping about otherwise I'll leave... after all I pay for Am*zon prime they have music included... 

Please sort this out and stop messing about.

Sorry if that didn’t make a difference. 

 

Could you try following these steps in order: 

 

  1. Delete cache and all data in the app on your phone.
  2. Uninstall the app
  3. Use a computer to manage your account with a browser 
  4. Navigate to your 'offline devices' and delete all listed devices from
    the list.
  5. Install the app back onto your phone, and log back in. 

Let me know how this goes!

Sorry to hear this! No worries, help’s here 🙂

Could you try restarting your device? If that doesn't help, try a quick clean reinstall of the app. Just follow these steps.

If you're still having trouble, could you let me know the exact version of Spotify and the exact version of the operating system you're running?

Thanks for getting back to me ... doesn't work ... tried those steps ... tried storage settings in my phone ... even reformatted SD card (a chore in its own right backing up photos files ect) ... tried changing the app permissions on my phone ... it's as if Spotify doesn't want to external storage? 

 Sorry forgot exact version ... 8.4.66.733 armV7
