Hey @TreckiestTreck,

Thanks for reaching out.

Can you give us a bit more info like for example:

  • Your device model, OS version and Spotify version.
  • When did the issue first occur?
  • Have you tried any troubleshooting steps like performing a clean reinstall as described here?

Keep us posted.

Hey there i was kinda sleepy when i wrote that question so i didn't provide
most information, but my device model is a Oppo CPH2269, the spotify
version is the latest available, and the OS is ColorOS V11.1

This appeared when I first downloaded the app and tried to play songs while
its playing in the background. And I also tried most troubleshooting steps
and tried to set it to Allow Background activity in the battery settings.

I think it's a problem with my phone trying to optimize runs running in the
background and then shuts them down but i'm not sure though.

Hey @TreckiestTreck,

Thanks for getting back to us with the info!

Could you ask a friend or a family member to log in on your phone and test this out to see if they'll experience the same?

It's also a good idea to remove any apps or services that Spotify may be connected with or affected by and test if the app behaves the same way.

In case the issue persists, it'd be great if you could also share with us a quick video where we can take a better look at this behavior? You can attach it to your next response by using the Insert Video option in the post editor. You can also upload it to Google Drive and share the link with us (make sure the video has the permissions for anyone to see it).

On another note, if you're sure that this is a problem with your phone, not the Spotify app - it'd be best to contact your phone manufacturer via their Customer Support.

We'll be on the lookout for your reply.

Hey, sorry for replying so late. Somehow after a few days it just stopped
crashing on me. I'm not sure what fixed it. I even didn't do anything.
Anyway i think the problem is fixed now.
