Spotify keeps pausing and disconnecting from bluetooth

Since a few weeks my spotify keeps pausing when my phone is locked. It also keeps disconnecting from bluetooth immediately so i cannot play music in my house. I have cleared the app data and cache and deleted any app that i dont use that might interfere with the spotify app. Im not so fond of the idea of doing a factory reset as I would have to reinstall all my apps and lose my photos. Would really appreciate a solution considering I am paying for the Spotify app.

I use a Samsung GalaxyS8

Spotify version 8.5.27.957 with Android version

This issue has also appeared on my device (Pixel 7a) and it's happening with my car bluetooth and also OnePlus Buds Pro 2. I run the latest version from Play Store. I would say it started about 2 months ago.
So my description of the issue: After playing some songs it starts happening at some point. First the playback stops intermittently and resumes after 1-2 seconds. The more it happens, the longer and frequent the pauses get, until to a point where it won't resume anymore until I either disable and renable bluetooth or force kill Spotify and then open it.

Also I've noticed before the issue starts, if I mute the car bluetooth from the car's volume knob or I pause manually the playback (from car's screen or earbuds' touch control) the issue starts to happen almost immediately when resuming playback.

I've regulalrly cleared cache etc. but it doesn't seem to have much effect.
