Spotify keeps pausing

As in the subject - Spotify keeps randomly pausing the music on Android, sometimes even randomly closes at all (this one quite rarely though).

And yes, I've tried various solutions mentioned in other topics like this: logging out from all devices, even changing password just in case, reinstalling Spotify, checking internet/application/antivirus settings etc.

It happens both in wifi mode and completely offline. Independently of any push notifications or whatever may happen on my phone.

Sometimes it pauses after literally 2 seconds, sometimes it can last over a minute and then pause.

Does anyone have any other ideas how to fix this...? It makes listening to music really impossible and extremely annoying...

I've already read and done it.

Today I've tried reinstalling Spotify another time (I don't know why) and it was ok for a few hours but now it's just same old same old.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 4

Android 7.0

Plus at the beginning it was all good, the problems started some time ago and I don't link them to any particular change on my phone

Have you also checked the miui battery saving options described here?

It works a bit differently in my version but I've just found one more, pretty much hidden, spot concerning battery saving by MIUI in my settings and Spotify was set to 'save' and I've just turned it off so I guess we'll see if it worked.
