Spotify not connecting to internet

Motorola G30 and a generic dell laptop (I don't know the model)

My internet works for everything else such as youtube or discord, but on spotify when I try to do anything that requires the internet like searching , it constantly buffers, then fails. It doesn't say that its offline and I can still access my downloaded songs, and I've made sure its not on offline mode either.

nah it only happens to my laptop and i did some testing and it seems to be my internet cos when i turn on a vpn it works fine
