Spotify not playing when I open games

^^ what it says on the tin. Spotify ceases playing when I open games like hearthstone. It's still an open application and I have changed the settings to allow background applications but no joy.

I'm using a Samsung s7. I do not have battery saving mode on

Perhaps if this was a blizzard specific thing but it happens with all games. Interesting link though

Edit: After some more experimenting, it does not work with fallout shelter, mario run and hearthstone. It does work with risk and worms 2. New phone so I haven't exhaustively tested it. Any suggestions or help would be much appreciated!

launching an app which takes over audio control while a music app is playing will give the same result, It's not specific to spotify. Try launching the game first then spotify. Android doesn't include a mixer so this behaviour is normal.
