My Question or Issue

Hi all, i worked in a dealer of Astell&Kern players. In late 2018, AK opened up their system to allow users to install APK on the latest players for streaming purposes. Spotify work fine in most models including SP1000, SE100, etc. However, for SR15 - we found a tricky issues as Spotify runs fine in ALL OTHER COUNTRIES EXCEPT  in Hong Kong. This issue is tricky and AK engineers do not have a clue on what happened... No matter if free or premium is used, music just wont play at all and the app crashes after selecting any songs... 

 

Anyone have a clue on what happened? Does spotify have any location setting or something?

1. Has it ever worked on these players before?
2. When exactly did the issue occur?
3. Can you provide a screenshot of what happens after selecting a song?
4. Do you get any type of an error message?

yes, it worked - same unit but when being used out of Hong Kong. E.g.: in Korea


2. When exactly did the issue occur?

everytime, 100% crash


3. Can you provide a screenshot of what happens after selecting a song?

can i upload a video you instead? lemme upload to google drive


4. Do you get any type of an error message?

no, don't think so, just crashed back to the home screen

We've noticed you're not on the latest version of the Spotify app. Can you update it and see if that helps?
