Spotify not working on a particular wifi network

When I connect to a particular WiFi network, the Spotify App says that there is no internet connection, even tho I am able to browse other apps and websites without any issues.

Are you on a school or work network? Often schools and businesses will block sites like Spotify and YouTube for example.

As @kaworu_bloodpaw has mentioned, a work or school network could have some restrictions affecting the proper behavior of the app. In this case, we'd recommend trying with a different Wi-Fi network, mobile data or a different hotspot to see if it makes any difference. Also, it's worth checking if the Offline mode is turned on. If so, turn it off and try again.

Lastly, since this issue could be also related to some damaged cache stored on your device, we'd recommend performing a clean reinstall of the app by following the steps in this article. This is often an overlooked step, but it's more thorough than a quick one and can be helpful in getting rid of any cache that might be causing trouble.

When I had opened spotify on my school Chromebook a few weeks ago it just showed a blank white screen. But when I go back home, spotify for some reason works on my HP laptop. I also cleared my cache and nothing still happened. I also retarded and signed back in. Please someone help!

Hey, usually schools have blocked restrictions for spotify so you cant access it while connected to the schools wifi, but if you disconnect from the schools wifi and connect to lets say your phones hotspot, it should work then.

When connected to certain internet connections spotify will not play any music, not only that my username turns into a random string of characters, it won't show my profile picture, my playlists won't appear on the sidebar or load any of the songs I have saved, and the app says that "I'm stuck in offline mode". I've had to deal with this for months now and I haven't had any solutions no matter what I try. I'm not connected to a school or business network, I've tried clearing the cache, I've changed spotify settings in the firewall, and so far nothing has worked.
