Spotify redownloads the playlists

My Question or Issue

I have my songs at the SD card. Whenever Spotify receives an update, after first phone restart Spotify downloads all songs again to phone and I'll need to move them to SD.

It has been like this for years. I see a lot of supposedly fixed problems like this on the forum but none of them solved it really.

Thanks for reaching out about this in the Community!

This is something that can't be controlled manually from the Spotify app and it depends on how the phone handles data management and whether it detects the SD card at startup or not. I'd suggest you try the solution by @Tink3rb3ll here. Some users report that this has worked for them.
