Spotify repeatedly crashing

My Question or Issue

Hi everyone. When I move from Spotify to another app, keeping Spotify open, it crashes the app. When listening to music, it often resets the song or places it near the beginning. When listening to a podcast it jumps ahead a minute or so. When I stay on the app it functions like normal. I thought this would be fixed with the newest Spotify update but it has not been fixed. I look forward to any response I can get here. Thanks in advance for the help!

If that didn't help, find out if Spotify has permission to run in the background and if swithching battery saver off makes any difference.

Hi, thanks for replying, unfortunately I neglected to mention that I had already tried the clean reinstall. This did not work. Then I tried the battery thing, allowing it to operate in the background freely, and that worked for an hour or so. Now it has returned to its usual non-working state.
