Spotify says offline even when connected to WiFi/mobile data

Spotify says offline even when connected to WiFi/mobile data

Due to this spotify doesn't seem to sync with the server and so playlists disappear after a while without me deleting them. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, logging out and back in, force stopping the app and turning off lock screen widgets. None of these have worked. Any ideas? Thanks

Hi @ZacW123,

Thanks for your post here in the Community and welcome!

First up, we'd like to get more info. Does this happen all the time? Or is it intermittent? Could you send over a screenshot of the error message you get? We understand you already tried reinstalling the app, but we'd recommend performing a clean reinstall by following these steps. This is a more thorough process, and it might help.

On another note, could you try logging in with a different account on your device and check if you get the same message? If you don't have another account, you can ask a relative or friend to log in for a moment and check.

Lastly, go to your device's settings and make sure there are no battery optimization, Power saving, or data saver options enabled.

Let us know how that goes. We'll be here.

Thanks for the quick reply, the issue happens all the time. I've tried all those things and none of them have worked.

Hi @ZacW123,

Thanks for your reply.

We understand you tried all the recommendations, but just to make sure, what happened when you logged in with a different account? Did you get the same message? If so, could you send us a video recording of this behavior? You can attach it in your next reply in mp4 format, or you can also upload it to YouTube or Google Drive and make it public, so we can visualize it.

On another note, could you send over the exact Spotify version you're currently running?

We'll be here.

I Had the Same Problem. I solved by allow acces to "Media and audio" in Android permissions.
