Spotify stops after 16-20 seconds

Does anybody have a clue what causes spotify to stop playing music after a few seconds?

I have re-instaled and even downloaded the playlist i have, but still, the music stops playing after a few seconds, EVEN when its in offline mode/or when im not in offline mode.

I have also tried to connect over WIFI, but same problem.

I think it must be "spotify connect" - but how to stop it, or remove it, or fix it !?

This has been happening to me as well over the past couple of months and it's been incredibly frustrating. I have reinstalled spotify probably 4 times now. I've tried clearing the spotify cache, I've even gone in and manually deleted the spotify system folder. This happens when Available Offline is toggled on or off. I can play maybe one entire song, the next song won't play at all, then if I switch tracks, the next song will play for a few seconds, maybe a minute then stop. It will remain stopped until I switch songs or quit out of the application. Basically every song after this will not play fully. I also have another interesting bug where if I have the songs available offline, I can switch a track, it will play for a few seconds then my phone reboots. Once it's back up and I re-launch Spotify, if I toggle the available offline off/on again, it says my phone is out of storage space which is not true. Spotify has basically been almost impossible to use since this started happening (around when I upgraded to Lollipop). This was also happening on my previous Note 3 which I have since traded in for a replacement since it had a bad GPS module, so I cannot provide any hardware specs.

Same problem with songs stopping randomly. Sometimes it works fine. Most times not though. Searching the forums shows this seems to be a common for a while with no fixes. I will not be renewing my premium. Such a pity since the app has serious potential.

same problem here, happening on ios, OSX Sierra, Win 10, Ubuntu 16.04 ..
