Spotify widget gone?

My Question or Issue

I used to have a spotify widget on my homescreen which I could use to control my spotify without having to open the app.

But my spotify updated today and all of a sudden this widget was gone and also didn't show up anymore in between all my widgets when I tried to put it on my homescreen again.

I reinstalled spotify to see if this would fix it but it didn't?

Does the widget not exist anymore then?

Download an old version can't say where from as it breaks the forum rules, really easy to find and do though. < 5mins.

They have been completely radio silent on the matter, so don't forget to disable auto updates, at least until they add the widget back, or your subscription runs out.

Yes, bad news, the Android widget is gone.

At this moment you can only build you own 3rd party widget if you want a replacement.
