Spotify won't pause music when you get a call when using chromecast

Hi All,

Just installed spotify free for the first time.  I found that when playing via my phone it will pause the music when I get a phone call but not when I am using my chromecast audio device.  I've tried reinstalling and rebooting but no luck.

There are no options in the settings of Spotify to control what happens when you get a call it seems so I'm left not knowing what to do next.  Please can someone confirm that play on Chromecast should be stopped?

As far as we know, this is currently expected behaviour.

We urge anyone else who is experiencing this issue to vote for the Idea which @MrRodp has created by going here. The more interest the Idea garners, the more quickly this will be brought to the attention of the Spotify tech team.
