Status Bar not hiding

My Question or Issue

When Spotify is running, the status/notification bar doesnt auto hide like it is supposed to on full screen apps. If i close spotify, then the status/notification bar hides like it should be. Becuase the status bar wont hide, this prevents me from clicking buttons at the top of the screen in the app I am using as it instead opens the notification bar.

 how do you hide the status bar?

It's not hiding like any Fullscreen video playback supposed to, the bottom and top bars should be gone when go into Fullscreen mode, please fix this it's really annoying and hardly use able.
