Stops streaming randomly every 5 minutes.

The problem: unless I'm listening to downloaded songs, the stream just stops. It stops mid-song and for no apparent reason. Note that the stream isn't technically paused (the pause button is still there) but for all intents and purposes, it just stops.

My internet isn't the problem. This has happened on multiple different WiFi and mobile data. I can stream HD videos elsewhere no problem.

I have a galaxy s6 with android 6.0.1. And the latest edition of spotify

What I've tried:

logging off and back in.

Closing and reopening spotify.

Uninstalling and reinstalling spotify.

Resetting my phone.


No luck so far. Any suggestions?

It appeared to have helped for a bit. But now I'm getting intermittent pausing again. This time its literally pausing (the pause button no longer there). Weird! Any other suggestions?
