Stuck in offline mode, Photon 4G

Recently the spotify app on my phonehas been stuck in offline mode.  I am a premium subscriber so I shouldbe able to stream on my phone and I am not logged in on my computer at the same time.  My phone is a compatible device (the motorola photon 4g, which runs andriod 2.3.5 I believe) and my phone is connected to the internet either through wi-fi, 3g, or 4g whenever I attempt to use this app.  I am using the preview app and I am not sure if that is the problem (although it was working fine until about a week ago) or if I should go back to the old one.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.
