My Question or Issue

Two days ago i got an Oppo Realme 7 Pro, installed Spotify and noticed that the album covers stutter when i switch to next track. I tried doing a clean reinstall but it didn't help.

Hey there @keremcam,

Thank you for your post here in the Community. We're happy to help.

Can you try to send the video again since we couldn't open it?

Also - can you try with another internet connection to see if the issue persist?

If that doesn't do the trick, can you log in with another account - such as a friend's or a family member's to see if the issue persist?

We'll keep an eye out for your reply.

Cheers!

The issue persists when i use wifi/mobile data

And i noticed that i accidentally stated that i'm using a free account. That's my fault i've been using Spotify Premium for like 3 years

I tried using my friends account but it didn't help. The stuttering persists when i use his account too

Hey again @keremcam,

Thank you for your reply and for providing a video.

Can you try the following:

  • Soft reset of the device
  • Ensure the operating system is up-to-date
  • Ensure device has enough storage space
  • Another internet connection

Let us know how everything goes so that we can continue to assist you if you need us to. We're always one reply away.

Take care 🙂

I soft reseted the device many times. The device is up to date. I have a total of 160GB space, i tried installing it to both sd-card and internal storage but it didn't help

Hey @keremcam,

Thanks for keeping us posted 🙂

Does the issue occur when you try on another device? That way we can check if it's a device-related issue.

If the issue doesn't occur on another device, it's a good idea to remove the SD card, reinstall Spotify and then try running the app without the SD. Are there any changes?

Keep us in the loop! We'll be right here if you have any further questions.

I tried my friends account on my device but it didn't help. I also tried removing the SD card and reinstalling

Hi @keremcam

Thanks for getting back to us.

Just to confirm, were you able to test this using your account with a different device?

Also, could you let us know the exact app version you're currently running?

We'll keep an eye out for your reply.

Hi again @keremcam

Thanks for keeping us in the loop.

Would you mind letting us know the make, model and exact OS version running on your friend's device?

We'll continue investigating.

Honor 8X, model number JSN-L21, build number is 10.0.0.243(C432E6R1P3). Android 10. But what does this has to do with my friends device?

Hey @keremcam

Thanks for this info!

Not to worry, all this info helps us take a better look into the issue to investigate what might be causing this specific behavior.

Could you let us know if the same thing happens when you skip the songs using the button instead of swiping?

Keep us posted.

Yes it happens when i use the buttons too. But i noticed that if i use the device as a remote, i mean if i'm listening on PC and switch songs from mobile it switches smoothly as it should be. The issue only happens when i listen on my phone.

Hey again @keremcam

Thanks for getting back to us with this info and for trying everything we've suggested.
