Sync 3 Android Auto Issues

Hi,

I have Spotify Premium with the account linked to multiple devices (phone, Alexa, Sonos, etc). When I am in my car using android auto and another device starts playback Spotify within Android Auto thinks I am playing it back on my device and switches audio source.

I find this extremely frustrating as I have to exit Android Auto, go into Sync 3 and switch the audio source. This however only works for a few seconds before switching back leaving me with no car audio at all.

Does anyone know how to stop this behaviour?
