Just to confirm, is it the Profile filter in search that doesn't appear for you? If so, could you check if you're able see the Profile filter/Profile section on another device? For example, if you're currently using the Android app, you can try from the Web Player or the desktop app.

Should this be persistent across different devices, however, it would be great if you could have a look to see if this seem to happen with other search phrases as well. Also, does the filter appear when searching for the Spotify Community profile?

Another option which comes to mind is to ask your friends to send links to their profiles. This can be done by using the Share feature, and this way you'll find them right away 🙂

I have the same issue as @selanus.

I tried everything but: No "profile" filter under the search bar (not in the iPhone app, not in the desktop app, and not with open Spotify). 

I would like to follow someone, but without asking "please send me an invitation". Some of them are musicians, friends of friends. How could I ask them?

Just to be on the safe side, were you previously able to see the Profile filter in the search bar? If that's the case, did you notice when it stopped appearing?

Let us know if the other filters appear for you and what happens when you search with different words/phrases. 

It would be great if you could even send us a screenshot so we can take a look. You can attach it via the Insert Image option in the post editor, only make sure no sensitive info is visible (your username for example).

unfortunately I cannot say when exactly it disappeared. Yet, I have added some friends in the past, so I suppose I was able to use this filter.

I attache the screenshots of my phone. 

I just searched an artist, which is also my friend, so I would like to follow him not only as Artist.

I have: artists, tracks, albun, playlists, podcats, video, and genres and moods 

no Profiles.

Thanks for the response @user-removed.

We did some testing from our end as well and having searched exactly with 'Michele Guaglio', only the Artist profile showed for us, but the Profile filter didn't appear across devices. This would indicate that the normal user account is called differently.

Something you could try is to write 'Michele' in the Search bar, then the Profile filter should appear there. Select it and continue writing the entire name to see if you'd get any results. If Spotify, however, doesn't display any profiles after that, then as mentioned the user account is named in a different way.

To additionally test if the Profile filter would appear, you could try to search with a person's display name/username that you're already following.

I can confirm that if I search for people I am already following, I get also the Profile in the list of results. It is not a filter, but I can find them in this way.

It's odd that the filter still doesn't show up even when you're searching for users that you're already following.

Could you send us a screenshot so we can take a look at how it looks like from your end? Only make sure that the username/display name is not visible on it and that it's not an artist profile, but a normal one.

this is weird, since I searched for a friend who's not already a contact and also is not an artist, and in this case the filter Profile is showing.
