Track Unavailable sometimes on Cellular data

Track Unavailable sometimes on Cellular data

Hey all. So I first noticed this problem when Spotify released their "Running" play lists. I tried to play them and got the "track unavailable" error on every song I tried to play. I was able to play them when I got home on wifi.

Since then occasionally if I try to play some new song I will get the error and will keep getting the error on EVERY unsaved song until I connect to wifi. Yet other times I can play music off cellular data as per normal.

Enabling "Download Using Cellular Data" makes no difference.

Here are a few steps you should try. They are from the basic troubleshooting post. I would be very surprised if one of these did not work.

  1. If your device contains an SD card, try removing it.
  2. Follow the steps here to reinstall the Spotify app.
(Important: Make sure you restart your device during this).
  3. Check this thread for troubleshooting connection issues.
  4. Change settings within the app: Sync quality, Stream Quality, Gapless Playback, Crossfade. See if a different combination of these settings makes a difference.
  5. Ask a friend or family member to sign into Spotify on your device. See if the issue is persisting on their account too. If yes, the issue is the device and can likely be solved with more troubleshooting.

Let us know how it goes!
