Track info not updating when streaming via Android Auto

When streaming Spotify via bluetooth to my car stereo the audio works fine, however the track information does not get updated. The first track that plays shows on the car screen but does not get updated when the next track starts.

This only happens when playing via Android auto. I use this for the larger buttons and satnav. If I use the standalone Spotify app it works fine. I have tested using Amazon music and Google play and neither of them have this problem.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled. I have cleared cache. Nothing seems to work.

There seem to be quite a few posts on the forum with people experiencing the same issue
