Harley quinn and joker podcast trailer will always play with video even with data saver on and canvas off and stream audio only on. I would like a way to turn off all video when data saver is on

I'm used to listening to Spotify on my desktop in the background.

I recently noticed that it plays videos instead of just audio.

In some cases, the videos start with an intro, talking, or silence, which is annoying.

I want to listen to audio only and disable videos on the desktop app.

I couldn't find an option for this in the settings.

If I cancel my Premium subscription, will they go away?

Can someone with a free account please confirm, if these flashing & blinking & moving animations/previews/videos/shorts/whatever all over the place will be gone for users on a free tier, then I will cancel my Premium subscription ASAP. They genuinely make my head hurts a bit for some reason, not only distracting, but legit pain, albeit still manageable. Glad I don't have any medical conditions like seizures triggered by flashing lights, imagine if I actually *do* have them and finding out this way......

Just today, I saw I got suggestions of videos (no music videos, just kids-targeted movies) on the opening page. I wanted my kids to listen to music, and not more screen. I have been waiting for a solution to this, but we just cancelled out subscription and switched to Deezer. Seems more music focused, no videos...

Hello, I can’t find the setting that allows me to only have the audio? As soon as I am on the app it automatically stream the video

When i search for a song it only lets me listen to videos. when i press the switch to audio button it only does that song in audio and the next song it switches back to video mode. Can anyone help?

So my computer screen was flickering off and back on every few minutes, until recently I finally found the reason - Spotify was causing the flickers because of videos it displayed, and turning off the "short looping videos" fixed my problem... Only for the Spotify to add a new kind of videos which I cannot disable. And guess what, the flickering is back. If you really must add these useless features, please at least let people turn them off...

Too bad the community guidelines don't apply to Spotify itself, where young kids are more likely to hang out than here.

Please ask the Content team to kindly yank out the Pornhub content, or at least put some thought into it first along with a comprehensive PG rating system and all the obligatory bells and whistles.

But much more importantly: Please pass the message to the Content team, that if they really must alter the product in order to align with TikTok and YouTube and Instagram, then instead of force-shoving video down the throats of your customers and their kids, who signed up for an AUDIO app, at least give them the option to opt out of it.
