My Question or Issue
Warning: rant. I've been a premium user for almost 10 years but the UI and UX of the android app seems to be getting worse each year so I thought I'd post here to supply some feedback.
The first issue I have is how easy it is to unfavourite songs from your liked songs! I've attached a screenshot that shows it but the heart button is right next to the skip button on the android lock screen and next to the play/pause button in the app. I can't count how many times I've accidentally unliked a song and only just noticed before losing it forever, and I don't have particularly fat fingers! It seems obvious to add a second menu to confirm the deletion like most all other pieces of software do when removing things? Or at least an option to enable or disable that feature. And sure I can like songs again if I accidentally do it but then it puts them to the top of the playlist when ordering by date added. Something I like to do is go through my liked songs to see what I was listening to during certain years and this ruins that.
My second and more recent issue is the added "smart shuffle". I don't hate this feature and can actually see it as being quite useful but I can't fathom why it wasn't added as a separate button to toggle it. Now when I want to shuffle and unshuffle a playlist to rearrange the queue order it takes 5 seconds for smart shuffle to generate before I switch it off again. So incredibly frustrating! And besides that, it's also bugged so that if I'm playing off a downloaded playlist and toggle shuffle on and off I then can't select specific songs in the playlist, I have to scroll all the way to the top and toggle smart shuffle off.
Please fix these pain points as they're starting to drive me mad :((((
