Unable to sort playlists on mobile

Unable to sort playlists on mobile

It is now November 2025 and this is still an issue?
I have lost my sort (in playlists) option completely off my phone. I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 24 Ultra.
As per my research I did the following:

Turned off smart shuffle function - check

Logged out and back in (numerous times) - check

Uninstalled and reinstalled app (numerous times, disconnecting the smart shuffle each time) - check

Restarted my phone (numerous times) - check

The function is STILL missing

Got on a chat with a spotify team member who after one hour of chat and screen shots could not assist and has apparently 'escalated' the issue.

The sort function is still on my desktop but when I sort them on there it does not do it on the mobile app automatically so until I get some kind of resolution, I cannot sort any of my 100 previously sorted playlists. Beyond frustrated.

Hey @sherrymendoza,

Thanks for reaching out and kudos for the troubleshooting you've already tried. We've moved your comment out of the main thread it was posted in since your issue differs slightly from the one described there.

First of all, we're sorry to hear about your experience with the mobile app. If your case has already been transferred to our Escalations team, please check your inbox for an email from them and follow their instructions and/or provide the info they've requested, so they can assist you further.

Should you decide to troubleshoot this in the Community, please let us know if this happens with playlists created by you, by other users or by Spotify. Note that for the former, the sort button can be found below the green Play button as shown below:

For playlists created by other users and by Spotify, you need to swipe down from the playlist cover for the Sort button to appear:

If the layout is different on your end, feel free to send us a few screenshots so we can take a closer look.

Keep us posted!
