Unplayable album

I'm unable to play an album I've downloaded. The album in question is called 'less is more' by Stewart Mac. I've played the album previously and not had a problem with it. I went to play it today and its now unplayable. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling it on my phone (samsung) but this hasnt helped

I'm having trouble finding the album you've mentioned, could you copy its Spotify URI and paste it here?

It seems to me like the album may have been removed from Spotify. Missing or unavailable music is almost always a decision by the artist/label to withhold the content from Spotify. Sometimes it's temporarily unavailable while they sort out legal issues or correct metadata, in which case it'll be back up as soon as they resubmit it to Spotify. While it might be a good idea to contact the artist or label directly and ask why the music isn't on Spotify, you can also fill out this form to let Spotify staff know of your interest. You might also be interested in supporting this idea, which suggests a simpler method for requesting albums missing from Spotify.

How do I copy the uri? Sorry I'm still very new to spotify!

No problem 🙂 When viewing the album, there should be three little dots in the top right of the screen (I'm currently using the iOS app so it may look slightly different for you). If you tap on those, you should be able to select "Share" and then "Copy Album Link."

Also, what is the exact issue that you are having? Is the music not playing when you tap on it (and is other music working fine)? Is it only not working when you switch to offline mode? Or are the songs grayed out?

Its showing in my album list (I've got it set to show unplayable albums) as downloaded but it wont play at all. I've tried when online and offline. An uninstall of the app didnt work (tried twice).

According to this, the album isn't available on spotify.

It was available when I played it a few weeks ago!
