My Question or Issue:

 

Spotify app downloaded from Play Store in both devices. I DIDN'T UPDATE TO PREMIUM.

 

The weird issue is, when I log in Tab S7+ i got Premium plan features (even indicates "Premium", with ads and no dowloads); not the same in S20 Ultra (only free plan and features).

 

 

 

I tried different accounts; all them got the same weird issue.

Thanks for reaching out. We'll be glad to look into the app behaviour for you.

 

This is quite odd. This doesn't happen on any other device, correct? What about the web player? In any case, consider performing a clean reinstall on the tablet, as it's possible there is some lingering cache that is causing this, regardless of the different accounts.

I tried web player; it is Free plan.

 

Clean reinstall did not work. I'll check for hidden archives.

 

If i keep using the "cracked" app, will there be consequences from Spotify?

Thanks for your reply.

 

Apologies for the confusion, the app on tablets should generally mirror the experience you get in the desktop app, meaning you can play any track on demand.

 

However, since you mention that you also don't get ads, you probably got our 14-day on-demand trial which activates for trial-eligible users the first time they stream from their account on a mobile device (phone or tablet). To make sure that this is the case, simply check if you can download music on this device (this feature shouldn't be available).

 

Before you ask, the trial doesn't roll into a regular subscription after it's finished so you don't need to take any further action here besides enjoying your Premium features 🙂

The weird point it's not the first time streaming; all the accounts i tested were registered some time ago and used since then. So, the "welcome newbie Premium" shouldn't work.

 

And this "bug" only happens in tablet, in smartphone is Free plan. (S20 Ultra and S7+ got app from Play Store). Downloads are not activated.

Maybe, a "welcome newbie" by IP device instead of user account?

 

I'll be aware about the "14 day trial", and what happen then...
