Where is the play in the background setting?

There is a new notification when I open spotify asking me to turn on background play (or something like that, but there is no button that links directly to the phrase used by Spotify. The closest I found is 'Pause app activity if unused' but this hasn't removed the notification. What setting am I supposed to toggle?

Could you share a screenshot of the notification in question the next time it pops up? That way we can get a clear idea of how things look on your end. As for the option, it's usually found in your phone's Settings > Apps > Spotify > Battery, but its location may vary depending on the manufacturer. This article by Samsung might also be helpful here, so I recommend checking it out, if you haven't already.

My Question or Issue

Spotify keeps bringing up prompt asking me to permit Spotify to run in the background.  This has a link to settings (or a "not now) option. When followed this opens the app permission/settings page where this nothing related to background options. Any ideas on how to resolve this??

For those who would like to know how to play music in the background, I got ya!! ^^

Sooo, when you are on your home screen, press and hold Spotify, go to info, or it might say settings, and go to Battery! Click on the option that says "play in background" !!

Would you mind sharing some more info on what is not working for you? Is Spotify not playing in the background for you or are you unable to find the setting which enables this?

If you've not already done so, it would be great if you could take a look at the suggestion in @Yordan's post here and even share a screenshot if you get a notification so that we can see how things look like from your end. You can attach a screenshot via the Insert Image option in the post editor (make sure no sensitive info is visible).

We'll be on the lookout.
