Why Won't Spotify Play In The Background, Android 4.4.2

Apparently whenever I try to listen to music off the Spotify screen, it always stops for no reason. I'm on an Android version 4.4.2, LG Optimus Zone 2. Can anyone help me?

make sure there is no Application Killer in your phone. some phone have automatic application killer, usually you can set how many application you want to open in the background.and in my phone I should turn off the application killer because whenever I go to home screen or out from the application it will force shutdown by itself. hope this can help you out.
