Why can't I see my music in any of my playlists and I can't play any songs?

I can't play any music on my playlists. I have five playlists and when I click on them (Android) it says "Let's start building your playlist" but I have ten hours' worth of songs on my biggest playlist. I can see my songs in my playlist on computer Spotify but on mobile (Android) Spotify I can't see my music and I can't play it when I click on it. When I click on the music it pops up and then immediately goes back down.

Thanks for posting in the Spotify Community.

 

What I'd suggest in your situation is to perform a complete clean reinstall of the app in the Android device to see if that would make a difference.

This will ensure there are no leftover files on your device from previous Spotify installations that may be interfering with the app functionality.

If that doesn't work, I'd highly recommend updating it to the latest version that you can get and check if you'll experience the same. Spotify always works on improving the user's experience and they advise that you keep both your OS and your Spotify up to date with the latest version so that you don't miss out on any fixes.

 

If you keep having issues after trying this, could you share more details on the steps you're following and the errors you get, if any? Please make sure to provide the following details:

 

  • Account type (Free/Premium)
  • Device and operating system (e.g. MacBook Air, 10.10 OSX)
  • Spotify app version
  • Any screenshots/screen recordings that help explain or illustrate the issue

I have the same issue since a couple of days, can't play anything + empty playlist everywhere. I have tried reinstalling after rebooting the phone, clearing cache, data everything.

My details are:

- Free account.

- Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G, Android 14, OS Version: 1.0.1.0.UMOMIXM

- Spofity version: 8.10.9.722

I discovered the problem was that I am abroad and my 14 days were up (from the US). But I moved to the UK and changed my region and it's fine now. Thanks for the help guys. By the way, I have a free account.

Hey so I turned my phone off for like maybe 10 mins and turned it on and my playlist still doesn’t have the songs showing it just stands a bunch of my songs like for example “**bleep** **bleep** poo poo baby kata” and all the songs and artists and when I click on it it’s only short clips of the songs showing up? I have iPhone 11

How can I change my region? As whenever I attempt to do so, I can't see what I am supposed to click on
