can't receive calls

I just recently changed my phone from a Samsung s4 to a Samsung s6. I've already had spotify premium in the past and never had this problem. For the first time today I was listening to spotify on my new phone. People were telling me that they couldn't get through to me today by phone cause it would go straight to my voicmail. I also couldn't receive text messages. Normally in the past when I was using spotify and a call came in, the song would stop and my phone or messages would come in. Is there something I need to change in my settings? I tried restarting my phone and also uninsulated and reinstalled spotify app. I also tried turning off my WiFi and still the same problem. It only happens when spotify is running. Please help! Thx
