I downloaded the app on my phone but do I need to be a premium member to get spotify offline with music I have downloaded with the trial?  I am going where there is no internet and would like to play music.

Yes. You will lose access to downloaded music once your premium trial ends.

Yes you need to be on premium if you want to download music for offline listening. Your trial counts as premium membership though, so if it is not over yet you can use it. You can check all restrictions which apply to free users here
