eq turns off randomly

eq seems to be turning off every few mins at times. I need to go back to the audio effects and it comes back on. Using galaxy note 3, android 4.3 & spotify 0.7.2. Really annoying. I already tried reinstalling the app

Does this happen between each track or just about anywhere? 

If it's between the tracks it's an quite known issue but if it's anywhere in the song it most likely is device specific. Just to check are you on a custom ROM? Because it happened to me when I was using one on my old Samsung device.

it's all over the place, sometimes in the middle of the track, sometimes inbetween. It also had good and bad days
