...is there no skip button now to get to the next track or the ability to cycle through a track. I've never known an update that has totally taken away so,much functionality.

You can skip by swiping through the album artwork on the full screen now playing view .

What do you by cycle through a track?

I dont get full screen album artwork. If playing something from a playlist i get a narrow band at the bottom of the tablet with a small album icon bottowm left. No way ican skip to nexttrack.

Tap that narrow band to open up the full screen view

Tried that. It just turns green when pressed. Stays where it is. Asus Transformer

Worked it out. I'm using software to force landscape mode.
