my data is using 5x what is should be using when streaming

I'm on a premium plan, using an S9 galaxy.  I've been paying for about 4 years.

When streaming spotify and using my phones data, the data usage is abnormally high.  I have the cellular streaming setting to "very high" and it has been like that for years.

However recently I noticed streaming one song is using 50 mb of data per one song.   I know the usage for 320kb should be 2.4 mb per 1 minute or around 10 mb per song.

this is new issue, and I've always set my streaming to the highest qualify.  The only reason I was made aware of it was due to my phone warning me of high data usage from spotify.

I realize I can turn the cellular streaming to a lower qualify, but that is not the issue.   I can't figure out why spotify is using 5x the amount of data it should be using.

Can you let us know:

• Spotify version
• Is download over cellular switched off?
• Your operating system

It would also be great if you can provide us a screenshot of the High Data Usage.
