not getting spotify controls on lock screen

i am using android 7 and for some reason i dont see the controls on the lock screen i.e. to move next,previous pause thing.  for other apps it works fine. i have given all permissions as well.

Any one faced this?

Have you tried expanding the spotify notification by touching it and dragging down a little?

I am not seeing a notification at all

Ah, I understood that only the controls were missing. What device, android version and spotify version are you using?

I am using Moto G 5 Plus with Android 7. Spotify version is 8.4.22.857 armV7

Could you check spotify's notification settings are as follows:

Allow notifications = on

On lock screen = show content
