Hello all, as stated in the subject I have the app running (premium user) and music plays fine on my non rooted sony xperia z1 running fully up to date lollypop. I then open chrome and browse and it will stop the music and close Spotify. If I do the same ony nexus 7 which I am currently using to type this and spotify is running fine?? I have rebooted wiped the software and reinstalled I have also reset the phone and this has not fixed it. Any help or pointers will be great. I have searched the web and this forum and cannot find an answer.

Hey there. Chrome eats up a lot of resources, so that could be the problem. What happens when you run Spotify along with other browers or applications? Does it crash?

Well, this is where it gets odd. If I use chrome in its new form of one page per website then no real issues but if I use multiple tabs (my preferred) it kills due to as you mentioned the use of resources however with the z1 having the power it does there should be no problem. On kitkat it was fine just seems to have started from lollipop update??
Here's a novel idea, instead of blaming chrome for the problem and offering no real solution, give us the ability to keep Spotify in memory so android will dump chrome instead if there's a RAM issue??? I'm not switching my browser because a music app doesn't work alongside. I will dump my Spotify Premium Family and go to Amazon Prime first.
Will there be an update for the issue? Using another browser is not really a solution but a workaround.
