PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE
Spotify, let us keep running older versions of your award winning application!!!
There are numerous of us users that do not want, need, enjoy or even like the new look. Older previous versions have worked just fine. Please let us continue to enjoy what we are familiar with and accustomed to as it serves our purposes perfectly.
I/we understand there would be no more R&D, enhancements, or support for such (in essence, what you see is what you get) but please let previous versions still be functionable. This includes letting older versions run on older systems including things like Windows 7/8.
This is not a rhetorical post but a sincere heartfelt plea. Please Spotify, reply to this request as I really assume there are many many other users that are in total agreement with me.
Patiently waiting for your response,
Steve K.
I second this. Please.
YES! Please, some of us have older devices that cannot support the new updates.
I so much agree to this! I've managed to prevent the updates to this day, because the old version is so much better, but now they force them to shut down 😞 It makes me outrageously sad, depressed, hopeless, frustrated and angry. I've been diagnosed with asperger syndrome, which means my neurological system is less open to constant changes than "normal people" and if things aren't where they should be, it ruins my life compeletely. Spotify PLEASE let us use the old versions. Don't drive us to piracy! I've been a paying premium customer from the year 2009. But this latest disabling of the older versions might be the final reason to cancel my subscription and it might drive me deeper into depression and farther away from the society.
My point exactly Kuulintu. Come on Spotify - let's achieve some kind of sensible resolution to this. As you can see, this is not unique to a few members but somewhat universal.
And they don't even answer... excellent service!
Likewise to have these answers, I don't know what is worse:
Anyway, I'm with the same topic; that's why I registered here, to see what is the latest version that can be used with Windows 7 but, as expected, no official data. I repeat: EXCELLENT SERVICE! Thanks Spotify, it's really nice to pay you this way.
In case it helps someone: for now it works for me with Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 64-bit la version de Spotify 1.2.5.1006.g22820f93
Greetings people, I hope this is resolved correctly and with an OFFICIAL response from those who receive our money: Spotify.
(You will know how to excuse -and understand- my english, it is not my language)
Unfortunately you can’t keep using old versions anymore; at least not on iOS.
I have refused to update my Spotify app for months, it continues to sit there waiting to be updated yet I keep getting ‘new’ features added.
How on earth are Spotify updating the app without my permission?
Today I have just lost my Heart button yet the latest update is over a week old?! I also noticed a notification offering me to use the new the smart shuffle feature!
Spotify premium can say goodbye to my money; I’m glad Apple Music is now a genuine competitor
