My wife’s account just got hacked. I was looking to set up OTP/MFA/Two Factor authentication but can’t find out how to do this. Any help welcome

There is currently no 2FA for standard users, looks like they've rolled it out for Artists but not regular accounts yet.

I can provide you with some general guidance on how to enhance the security of your Spotify account:

• Change Password: Start by changing the password of the compromised account. Choose a strong and unique password that includes a combination of letters, numbers, and special characters.

• Secure Email Account: Ensure that the email associated with the Spotify account has a strong and secure password as well. This is important because if someone gains access to the associated email account, they could potentially reset the Spotify password.

• Review Connected Apps: Go through the connected apps and services that have access to your Spotify account. Remove any apps or services that you don't recognize or no longer use. This can help prevent unauthorized access.

Hi All

I had similar situation. I would like to give my vote to implement OTP/MFA/Two Factor authentication for regular accounts. It will give some benefits:

- it enhances security by receiving notification from authenticator, that someone try to log in and has our password

- it reduce amount of tickets for support Team related to hacked accounts (we can react on it independently by simply changing password)

- without second code, any unauthorized changes will be not applied like changing email address

- it will not be possible for anyone to view the our personal data

Moreover, in almost all apps MFA is a standard nowadays.
