Spotify doesn't work on Apple Watch

I have a Spotify premium account, did download Spotify playlists for offline-use, tapped "..." and choose "download to apple watch" ...

In fact, there is no music on my Apple watch downloaded (settings checked) and spotify doesn't work at all ... opening spotify-app on the watch results in an instantaneous closing of the app.

Trying do "download to apple watch" again results in "remove download from this device?"

Any clue, why spotify-app doesn't run on my apple watch and why downloading playlist from my iphone doesn't work? (I'm on the newest version of both, Spotify and Apple watch

I have an Apple Watch Series 3 and my app will not open. The app starts to load and then just shuts down. Super annoying and my phone and Watch are at their current iOS and OS update levels. I am stuck because I’ve tried all the tricks and even re-installed the os on my watch and nothing. Spotify needs a patch.
