Spotify offline mode

I have a problem with the offline mode and listening to music without data connection/offline.

When I turn on offline mode with WIFI connection to listen to music offline, the app says Spotify is offline and I can't listen to music from my playlists. The songs become grey and I can't play them with offline mode enabled. But I think that's the whole point of downloading music, so you can listen to it offline.

I have a Spotify premium subscription and my playlist(s) have been downloaded. I've also tried reinstalling the app, but it didn't help.

Can someone please help me out?
