Hey!
Thanks for coming to the Spotify Community.
We’re excited to hear about your 2024 Wrapped experience.
Please use this thread to let us know how you're finding your 2024 Wrapped, share your feedback, and share any issues you may be experiencing.
You can find this year's Wrapped by tapping Home and selecting the Wrapped feed. This link should also take you to the experience when you open it on your mobile device. If you still don’t see it, please try the steps below:
We’ll be keeping an eye on this thread and reporting back to the right folks, as well as linking to any known issues which may arise.
Please note:
Wrapped may not be available to all users, as it’s subject to specific eligibility criteria. Before posting here we encourage you to ensure you’re on the latest version of the app, and read this year’s FAQ in the Support Site for more information.
I have the same premium account as my sister and I listened to 65,000 minutes of music but I didn’t get a music evolution playlist whereas my sister did. I want to see my music eras this past year. The special parts of wrapped from previous years are missing this year. I got basic numbers and nothing fun. It was a big disappointment.
My account has been hacked without me knowing. 195k plus minutes. All from Artists I’ve never heard of. How come there are no alerts if someone on another device has used your account? I’ve been robbed of my actual wrapped for 2024 😂 seriously though, Spotify you need some security measures in place for bits spamming accounts to get listens on music.
My Spotify wrapped is definitely inaccurate. It’s says my top song is one that I’ve listened to maybe only 3x.
I wanna know why I don’t get 2024 wrapped? On your page it says some users don’t get it because “ specific eligibility criteria“ ? What are these criteria’s? I have premium account paying monthly for it, very disappointing how you treat your customers.
Same thing for me and I really wanna know the reason for this? It says it subject to specific eligibility criteria, what are these criteria’s? I’m paying for my account monthly
My Wrapped data for my top 5 songs is definitely wrong. 2 of my top 5 are songs I’ve never listened to outside of a daylist or after an album I was listening to finished. Songs I listened to repeatedly are not on the list at all or listed at number 5. This was a super disappointing year for wrapped. I know which albums and songs I listened to repeatedly were and its disappointing that my wrapped did not reflect that in my top 5 songs.
My Spotify wrapped does not have sound, deposite volume up and being on the latest version on my pixel 8 pro. Tried restarting clearing cache, rebooting. Etc.
My own list is at least plausible. The songs I had in heavy rotation are at the top as I would expect, and I remember listening to everything on the list. But I have seen a lot of reports from people saying that theirs were not, so there appears to be some sort of data quality issue at Spotify this year.
I believe there are some adjustments applied; it's not just the songs you literally played the most times. Multiple plays in quick succession seem to get written off; perhaps they're counting separate DAYS when you listen to a song rather than number of times. (My top song had 16 plays according to Wrapped but I feel certain that number is low.) I suspect they apply a downward adjustment to songs that were on last year's list, at least for tiebreak, so you will get some turnover in your favorites. (My top count is 16 and there are 100 songs in the Top 100 list so there are clearly some ties.) They seem to be disinclined to list multiple versions of the same song (covers by other artists for example), so you usually only get one rather than all of them. Anything you listen to after mid-November never gets counted at all; it's not part of this year's OR next year's list.
Finally, if you ever use Spotify as automated background music your Wrapped list could be affected by the songs that played during those times. That's how you can end up with an artist who is very popular (and is therefore played often on the automatic lists, like Taylor Swift) but that you never play intentionally. Nearly all of my Spotify time is intentional (it's either my own playlists, research for those playlists, or other people's playlists that I choose to check out) so I don't see much of that effect; those of you who listen in the car or on smart speakers likely see much more.
My wrapped summary showed my most played song as one I NEVER played. Has my account been hacked? What should I do?
Very disappointing, I miss the personality behind Spotify Wrapped. The AI was not what people were looking forward to. There were many elements of the previous years that can only be satisfied by working with people. Hopefully, they bring people back into this process. Wishing for better
I shared my wrapped 2024 from mobile app with my friends and they did the same with their own. All we can listen to is our own wrapped. When I click on the link on PC/Mac It takes me to https://www.spotify.com/pl/wrapped/?destination=datastories where there's nothing to listen to.
I know that on the computer app, you can save the Top 100 playlist to your library, and from there I think you can share it. You can certainly create a new playlist and copy all the songs from your Top 100 to it, and then share that normally. Of course, this is all stuff that is trivial to do with the desktop app and difficult to do on mobile...
Thanks for making wrapped 2024 because it finally gave me a reason to switch my family plan to Apple Music.
This post is not directed at any social media or community manager who works in Spotify who's reading this. My post is directed at top executives who decided to lay off 17% of your workforce last December.
To be exact, wrapped 2024 lost human touch, it was bluntly obvious that you guys thought "eh, we can add AI stuff to it, we love AI because we can cut staff and I get more money". AI podcast? Seriously? This slop is just laughable.
I been long user of Spotify and encouraged my friends and family as well. But you guys keep raising the price up, service experience is getting worse with AI slop, App is still terrible, hard pass for me.
Daniel Ek - your greed lead to this, I hope having AI slop in your app so you can raise shareholder's value was worth it **bleep**.
What is with the term Mall Goth Wrestling to describe my musical choices? Mall Goth is a pejorative term to describe wannabe Goths. Is it because my music is Christian? Who came up with term? I am not the only person whose music choices (Christian bands) that had this moniker slapped on the music.
Hi!
My opinion on Wrapped is that the quality of the feature has decreased almost steadily each year. Honestly, I haven't ever felt like the data from Wrapped represented my music tastes or my listening habits very accurately, which I think comes from a combination of factors like family listening, using other services, listening a lot on playlists, etc. However, it's usually still of interest to me and I get something out of it, especially comparing the results with my family and friends.
This year it felt both less accurate and less interesting than usual, and there was just substantially less in the Wrapped in the first place. I do think I used the app less often than usual, due to other issues with Spotify and having moved some of my time to other services. Still, even if the Wrapped couldn't represent my overall music habits, it could have been more useful for insight into my habits on Spotify and more interesting.
There were fewer features to the Wrapped highlight video than in previous years, and some of the features were not as good. The 'music evolution' segment was an interesting concept, but in execution it was cheesy and didn't seem fitting. Titles like 'Post-Apocalyptic Movie Tunes Soundtrack' are, first of all, very redundant, and they don't seem to represent either a genre or a coherent vibe. I much prefer when the features in Wrapped center around genres, albums, or at least an era or vibe of music that a typical person would describe themself listening to. I don't know if the word salad titles here are meant to be colorful and appealing, but I tend to find them simply annoying.
My top artist list was not remotely what I would have expected, leading me to feel like it was based on relatively brief phases in my listening or playtime on songs that I skipped over. Again, my reduced use of the platform and my habit may account for a lot of this, but I just feel even less than usual like Wrapped is accurate to my experience.
Which, to be honest, I wouldn't mind in of itself, if the platform simply wasn't collecting user information except for the purposes of sustaining our collections and playlists and for suggesting music - I don't NEED the platform to collect month to month data on everything I do and then repeat it back to me. But if that information is going to be collected and Wrapped is going to be a part of the Spotify Premium package I do expect it to be both more accurate and more interesting.
I also am generally not a fan of the use of generative AI on Spotify for playlists and I was frustrated to see it tying into Wrapped. I haven't listened to the 'podcast' and have no interest in doing so, as it doesn't sound interesting at all, I didn't particularly want my data fed from Spotify to Google Notebook LM or whatever it was, and I don't support Spotify's increasing use of AI on the platform. Obviously the platform has always used algorithms and our data to come up with Discover Weekly, playlist suggestions, etc, but including new and separate AI systems when there's so much discourse around the pitfalls of AI right now is not a good look to me. Looking at the 'AI Playlist 2024 Wrapped' it's not immediately clear what AI program is being used for this feature or how it works.
We don't know if this feature and similar features are sharing our Spotify data with other companies, if they're as inaccurate and buggy as other AI systems - actually, for all we know, they could be trained on other people's playlists without consent or acknowledgement.
I know there's a large variety in how AI systems work and therefore not all of them have the same downsides, but generally I am more put off by them than interested in them. And I wonder if these features are part of why Wrapped was worse this year.
All in all, I wasn't satisfied. I'm on a family subscription for premium, but I am planning to spend more of my time on other services instead of Spotify, and if my family ever cancels I don't currently see the point in continuing with my own subscription. Wrapped is probably the least of the problems I have with the platform, but it's one of the ways Spotify is supposed to distinguish itself and it's just failing in that more and more over time.
My Spotify wrapped is literally not there and I cannot get it no matter what I do.
My daughter's Band Fan Club released 2 singles and an EP this year, starting in February. They even got two songs featured on a Spotify Editorial. Good numbers. I and other family members and fans have been streaming all year long. But we all did not have a single Fan Club song feature in our Top 50 and yet all have several TOp 50 songs that we've never heard of or purposely streamed. How is this even possible? What's worse is that last year, we were able to upload our video for Wrapped and this year you have to have Clips. What's going on? Do you really have to be with a label to get these extra services?
Like so many others I found my wrapped this year to be both entirely underwhelming and inaccurate. Artist in my top five that I don't have on any of my lists and never listen to. My second out of five is one I rarely listen to. My top 100 songs feel right, mostly, but the summary is absolutely not correct and disappointing.
I got a 2023 wrapped but nothing at all for 2024. Same plan, newer phone, everything always up to date, use spotify heaps, jumped through everything suggested I can find online by just just comes up with "COULDN'T OPEN LINK Spotify can't open this type of link on the device"
Annoyed.
My Wrapped says Karol G it’s the most listened artist, as the last year, that’s fake data!
It’s like Spotify sales the results 😹 probably I listened few times in some lists, but very far from reality that that is the most listened artist in my Spotify account. Last year was the same joke, complete different music from what I listened the whole year. Nice try!
