Applying NUS discount

I want to apply my NUS Extra discount code to my current account. I've got the code from the NUS website,I've entered it online but the code keeps getting rejected. Any help?? 

It would be SO MUCH BETTER if Spotify had a helpline I could call, all of this messing about with forums and contact forms is pathetic! I find it infuriating that I'm struggling to get the help I need and as a result it is going to cost me money!!!

You can apply the NUS discount at http://spotify.com/nus - you will have to input the number of your NUS Extra card and your date of birth.
