Autostart on subscription?

I just discovered that i've been charged for a subscription that i haven't started. I'm using the free version and I'm happy with that. How on earth can a subscription just activate itself?!

The reason 'vinstlott' is on Premium is because you started the 30 day trial in November. When you started the trial, we state on our website that you need to cancel your trial before the 30 days are up in order to not start the monthly subscription. 

Of course you can cancel that at any time via your subscription page.

That is not correct, I have had spotify for years and have not started anything in november. I have had problems w my login (hacked emailaccount where I had the username/password) and havent even been able to use it for long periods of time.
