I contacted Spotify yesterday via their e-mail contact form to notify them that my credit card used for the service had been compromised. In the last 90 days, I've only used that card at Spotify and one other merchant. I notified both.
I've received no response from Spotify other than a note at the top of the PC app saying they couldn't charge my card (because that number was canceled by the credit card company due to the fraud) and I needed to update my information.
I'm not comfortable doing that until I hear back from Spotify that they have done a security audit and their database is secure. If you are a premium subscriber, I suggest you monitor your credit card account for fraudulent activity in case the breach was indeed here.
My card that I used to sign up for a Spotify account has also been used fraudlently in the last month, and has had to be cancelled. I can't definitely link it to Spotify because I've used it for quite a few things online recently, but in the light of the previous mail, it's a concern.
Was this resolved for you? The credit card I used for my spotify account was also compromised, as well as my neighbor's the day before mine. Seems too big of a coincidence. I have not seen or read anything online about it.
My credit card has also been compromised and really has messed up my bank account and I am getting ready to go on vacation in one day!
I have a charge for $9.99 and another for $119.00 on my card. I have no idea what this is for and nor have I every used Spotify. There is no customer service telephone number whatsoever on the webpage.
I need a resoluation NOW! Please respond ASAP.
Thank you.
Christine
Hi Christine,
We can't sort out any payments issue on the Community, I'm afraid. You'll need to contact our payments team here.
Same thing here. The bank blocked the Spotify payment for fraud and my credit card has to be replaced. 1st time in my whole life. This card number was not used elsewhere...
Sorry but I won't give my credit card number to Spotify anytime soon.

I would suggest you get in touch with the team using the link Sam posted above and the payments team will be able to look into this for you.

That's what I did in the first time when I got a mail telling me that my premium account will be closed because they couldn't get the money on my bank account. They told me this could be caused by a fraud.
I checked with my bank which told me that It was indeed the case and they blocked the Spotify payment... and my credit card!
Now I can't even pay with Paypal. To do so, I have to give a credit card number and mine is now blocked.
