Dear People at Spotify, 

 

It seems I have one account with spotify directly and another one with my facebook-ID?

 

Strange thing is: I logged in with my 'normal' account to renew my premium, but it seems that it has been 

booked on an account i can only get onto when i log in with my facebook details. 

 

It's annoying because my playlist are in the 'normal' account while my subscription is in the 'facebook' account. 

 

I hope you can help!

I have the same problem - I upgraded to Spotify Premium and when I did my facebook password now logs on to my spotify account and I can't access my playlists!

 

Below is an image to show how now, when I log on using both my facebook/spotify logon details, it logs straight on to the account shown as 'frankiehowland', but I can't access the account shown as Frankie Howland below!!

 

 

Help please!!

It looks like something has gone wrong, when you login is it showing you as a premium member? 

If so, you will need to get in touch with customer services using the online contact form so they can correct this for you, since your subscription (and playlists recovered!) will need moved from the Spotify account to the Facebook one.

Same here! Please help!

 

I'm premium on Facebook with username/ID "1276932636", my duplicate's username is "Magnirvan".

 

I'm being offered 30 days free as Magnirvan (which I didn't get with the facebook one). May I have those too once you merge my accounts please?

 

I won't use my "Magnirvan" account until you solve this, I've nothing of interest there besides that "30 days free" offer.

Hey! Welcome to the community 🙂 

 

If all of your playlists and subscription are on your "wattsthedealio" account then you should be able to merge your two accounts together. In the desktop client, logged in as "wattsthedealio" go to Edit/Spotify > Preferences > Social Network > Connect to Facebook and log in with your Facebook account details. 


If you get an error message saying your accounts can't be merged (happens sometimes) you will need to get in touch with the customer services team directly using the online contact form and they will be able to remove the extra account for you so you can then connect the two again (to stop this happening again).

If you get an automated email reply back directing you to the community or help pages, you need to reply directly to that email (even if its from no-reply) and one of the customer services agents will get back to you as soon as possible.

 

Once you get this sorted, the easiest way to avoid this happening is to always sign in using your "wattsthedealio" username and password.

I've got the same problem! But i have 2 duplicated accounts now... my original account has premium and i'd like to have it back please! My Account is : Mcpassaro .. Please help me to get my Premium Account back.. !!

Are you definitely logging in using your username and password (not your email address)? 

If you get in touch with the customer services team directly using the online contact form they should be able to get that sorted out for you if you are having issues tracking down your account. 

If you get an automated email reply back directing you to the community or help pages, you need to reply directly to that email (even if its from no-reply) and one of the customer services agents will get back to you as soon as possible.

Hey Bennet - Are you positive 'mcpassaro' is your username? Those account details don't match the one linked to this email address. 

 

If you use the CS form we can search for other email addresses you might have used.

I initially logged in using my facebook account, but I wanted to have a username, so i created another spotify account. Is there a way to have a username and also link it with my facebook account?

huangchacha - You can link your Facebook to the account with a username easily. Go to your Preferences Page: Edit > Preferences (in Windows) or Spotify > Preferences (in Mac)

 

From there click 'Connect to Facebook'. Then sign in with your Facebook email and password. 

 

It's worth copying the links to any playlists you made in that FB account so you can find them again.

I was trying to play music on my sonos through spotify, when i realised i had two different spotify accounts. One was linked through facebook, which is currently upgraded to premium, and one is simply a username and password (which is not premium). I created a device password for sonos, when i realised you can only log into sonos via spotify with non-facebook details, which is the non-premium account (of a different email address to facebook). 

 

I was wondering if you could merge these accounts so I can use sonos via spotify, as you can only do with premium!

Hey! Welcome to the community 🙂

 

You can simply retrieve your numerical Spotify username and set a device password for your Facebook account by following the steps in this help page rather than using your other account. 

If you would like to have them merged, you will need to get in touch with the customer services team directly using the online contact form and they will be able to look into getting that all sorted for you. 

If you get an automated email reply back directing you to the community or help pages, you need to reply directly to that email (even if its from no-reply) and one of the customer services agents will get back to you as soon as possible.

Hello Meredith, I don't pretend to annoy but can you help me to eliminate a duplicate account 127692806?? (yes, just numbers as user) It causes confusion with my facebook friends. My normal account is Kike Escobar. I've tried signing up with my spotify account and then tried to link my facebook account but it says my friends have already been synced and the numbers still appear as username in most of my friends profiles. No way to go :((

I installed spotify in a new computer and can´t have access to my old account.

Probably the best thing to do is get in touch with the Spotify team directly using the online contact form and they will be able to sort this out for you. Its much easier for them since they can see all of your account information 😉
