Okay the title wasn't serious.
So I made an account and joined the premium trial and absolutely love this. It's brilliant, convenient, and a pleasure to use.
But I won't be staying to pay £9.99 when the service in the States is less then £6.50.
Thought you would be different but you're just another company cashing in on exchange rates, and although I love the service, I won't be robbed.
(Super user edit - made title more suitable ~Liam)
They aren't cashing in on the exchange rates, they're cashing in on how much people in different countries are willing to pay. Premium in Portugal is only 6.99 euros while it's 9.99 euros in richer European countries.

That's just unfair 😞
There are many things I love about Spotify. I've used it off an on for years, but there are two major issues I have with premium after spending a week so far using the trial.
First off, if I'm paying monthly for ad-free music, why am I still forced to have publisher-sponsered playlists (let's be honest, they're ads) which not only did I not choose or make, but I cannot delete.
Secondly, why are you still so forceful about having me make everything public? Let me choose private browsing permanently rather than forcing me to have to reinstate it all the time; filling my phone notification bar with reminders about how you refuse to do so.
These things can be understandable in a free service, but until you stop forcing them upon your subscribers, I don't think I could ever bring myself to upgrade. The point of a subscription is that we are directly supporting your service rather than having to use ads. If we're paying for your service, we should not be subject to these pressures.
I do not have any publisher sponsored playlists. Where are they, on your playlists section?
As for the private/public problem, it's easily solved by having an account without Facebook. Don't log into services using a Facebook account, it's a bad idea if you want privacy. Spotify just assumes that by logging in with Facebook you want to interact with Facebook friends.
Hey there you, Yeah, you! 😁 Welcome - we're glad you joined the Spotify Community! While you here, let's have a fun game and get…
