Getting my CD's into Library

I feel like this must be a really simple thing but I have searched for HOURS and cannot find an answer.  How do I get tracks from my CD's onto my Spotify library?!  I mean you must be able to because the whole point of Spotify is to have your music all in one place right???  ANY help with this would be great.  I just bought a new CD and I REALLY would like to get it into some of my playlists.

The Spotify program cannot rip CDs, so you will have to use a different program such as iTunes to rip and convert your cd to a format that can be imported to Spotify (mp3 or AAC).
