Someone Else's emails.

Hello i have been with spotify for awhile now, all of the sudden i ahve started to receive emails sayins "nick" (my name is joe) your friend "blank" has joined. I do not know the friend, and my name is not nick. Is someone else using my account for free?

Hi, and welcome to the community!

First, try getting a force logut by posting on this topic and resetting your password.

Then, if you click on your name in Spotify then account you can check your details are correct.

If you're connected to facebook try resetting your pasword there as well.

I did those things. All of my other information is correct. yet i still get random emails sent to a guy names Nick.

Strange, have you tried clicking the opt out of these email messages button on the bottom of the email? Is that the email address tied to your Spotify profile?

If you get in touch with customer services using the online contact form they will be able to look into this for you.

yeah it is the email associated with my spotify account. I have no idea why I am getting these.  Althgouh selfishly some of this "nick's" friends are fairly attractive.... 🙂
