Sometimes logs into a Facebook account sometimes my actual account

Hi,

I signed up to Spotify before you had to have a Facebook username so have a Spotify username and have not bound it to my Facebook account. However, my Facebook username is the same and sometimes it seems that when I log in on the Linux client it logs into some other account bound to my Facebook which I've never used or intended to use. This is of course very frustrating since it doesn't have my playlists or my premium subscription. This does not always happen, right now it is logged into the correct account, but sometimes I have to log in and out three or four times to get back into the correct account.

Please can you sort this out.

I have never heard of this happening before, normally the login system can differentiate between logins based on what you enter. If you enter a Spotify username and password it automatically logs in using Spotify, if you enter an email address and password it will log in using Facebook.

Are you saying that your Spotify username (not the email address linked to the account) and your Facebook email address are the same?

Hi,

My Spotify username and facebook username are the same. I'm not talking about e-mail addresses in either case. When I log into  spotify on my desktop (Linux), I enter my Spotify username (which equals my Facebook username) and my password (which is also the same in both cases). As I say, sometimes it logs into my Spotify account and other times into some new empty account bound to my Facebook.

Today it seems to be fine though and logging correctly into my Spotify account.
